In the Autumn of 1994 The Shamen became the first major UK band to establish a Web presence. Working with Internet pioneer Sean Clark (now of Headland Multimedia and Cuttlefish) they began a long, strange trip that has so far seen world-first Internet "Webcasts", unique album and single Internet releases and the creation of a huge Shamen "infobase". This trip now culminates with the "shift" of The Shamen from the world of atoms to the world of bits as the first band to become an Internet-only entity. |
