Applications to play at Summer Sundae Weekender are now open!

Our first priority is for acts based in the East Midlands (that's Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire).

Here at Summer Sundae Weekender HQ we've been having a great time reminiscing, listening to some of the best performances from last year's festival. And as a special treat we thought we'd offer you the chance to listen to these too.

So we've teamed up with the clever people at Cuttlefish Multimedia and Exposure Live to put together a great playlist of live tracks on a podcast which you can download for free!

All you need to do is join our brand new mailing list using the box on the left of this page to receive your free download.

Tracks on the podcast are all brilliant live performances from artists local to the festival, including Dark Dark Horse and Kenworthy.

We are now accepting applications for traders at Summer Sundae Weekender 2012!

The application form is available to download via our Trader Page under the Info Menu on the left.

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before applying and please note that applications received after the 2nd March 2012 can't be considered.

Successful applicants will be notified by 6th April 2012.

Just a little something to get you in the mood for Summer Sundae 2012, Roundabout Productions have made some great films about Summer Sundae 2011 which you can view here: http://youtu.be/Qg-17GfTwWY.

Tomorrow morning from 10am we will be launching our highly anticipated Early Bird tickets, which are limited in availability, so make sure you grab one while you can either from our ticketing page or by calling 0116 233 3111.

Summer Sundae are delighted to announce that, in response to customer feedback, we will be taking our ticket price right back this year and are pegging 2012 festival tickets at 2010 prices.

A limited number of Adult Early Bird tickets will therefore be on sale from just £95 for the weekend.

Tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 6th December so make sure you grab one while you can.

Also in response to your feedback, we have decided to bring in a special ticket for 14-17 year olds. The 'Young Persons' ticket will be priced at just £60 for an Early Bird Weekend and again is limited in availability so book early to avoid disappointment!

We've been very busy planning since the last Summer Sundae Weekender and are now happy to confirm the new dates for the 2012 edition as:

Friday 17^th to Sunday 19^th August 2012.

We have moved the dates one week back due to the Olympics so please save the weekend in your diaries now! Keep your eyes peeled here for more announcements about next year's festival soon.

We're very proud to say we have won a Greener Festival Award for 2011. Summer Sundae has won this award every year since its inception in 2007, and this year was placed in the COMMENDED CATEGORY for well-managed, environmentally aware festivals. Thanks to everyone involved in keeping our festival green, including the Complete Wasters and all those who volunteered for them this year. And thanks of course to you our greener festivalgoers!

Thanks again for being part of Summer Sundae Weekender 2011. We had a brilliant year and hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did.
