Camping and Accommodation

Camping

Due to planned building work at Regents College, all camping will be on Victoria Park.

We'll still have family and quiet(er) areas though. These will be clearly marked in the campsite and you can always ask a steward for help.

Camping opens from 2pm on Thursday 16th August 2012.

Only full weekend ticket holders can purchase camping tickets, and if you are aged 17 or Under you need to camp with someone aged 18 or over.

A drop-off point is available at the Festival Main Entrance for Victoria campsite where you can unload your stuff and park up while our stewards happily look after your stuff until you get back. Once again Ride Leicester will provide a FREE rickshaw service on the Victoria campsite to help transport your stuff from the drop-off point.

Live-In Vehicles

If you have purchased Live In camping you will need to collect your Live-in Vehicle Ticket and wristbands from the Festival Box Office at Granville Road before entering site. Please go to Victoria Park car park, corner of Granville Road and Regent Road where you can temporarily park your car whilst picking up tickets.

We recommend you endeavour to arrive Thursday afternoon (from 2pm) or Friday morning before the festival is in full swing (midday Friday onwards).

Appropriate fire gaps will be required between live-in vehicles therefore awning or canopies can't link with tents.

WHAT TO BRING

BRING IT WITH YOU

Besides your lovely selves there are other things you might want to bring with you. Portable camping stoves are fine but remember not to cook or change gas canisters in your tent. Although we've been awarded Best Toilets it's always a good idea to have some loo roll with you. Our campsites are well lit but bring a torch to avoid trip hazards at night. Don't forget your toiletries to enjoy a hot shower. If you're on any medication be sure you've got a full supply to last the weekend. Bring enough money to pick up a nice festival hat or to make sure you've sampled the range of food traders. And we're always optimistic about the weather so bring some sun block (and rain proof anorak with a set of dry clothes just in case).

LEAVE IT AT HOME

There are a couple of things you need to know before you arrive. Most important – absolutely NO GLASS, including bottles, is allowed on the festival site or campsites. Also don't bring disposable BBQs, fireworks, and candle flares or try to have an open fire – these are major risks, to your safety and our license. Make sure not to have unauthorised professional film or video equipment and audio recorders. No furniture or chairs are allowed on the main gardens of the amphitheatre. No animals other than Guide dogs are allowed on-site. And no matter what or where, illegal drugs are still illegal. If you are found with illegal substances in your possession these will be confiscated and you may be turned over to the police. Any persons found selling 'Herbal Highs' or 'Legal Highs' will also have these confiscated and may be turned over to the police.
