The journey to go abroad normally bring culture shock. I have been living in London, I also had many unfamiliar experiences. My work shows several different points between British culture and Korean culture to each other. The points is based on my experiences in which is difficult to understand.

This work explores the tension between the material and immaterial and how this can be manifested through animated digital sculpture. The use of an intricately detailed structure is used to absorb the viewer and as a result act as a catalyst for 'immersion'. The animation of the sculpture visually allows for the continual cycle of fluctuation of the form between immaterial and material states.

Stories and Myths invite exploration through imagery with diverse visual possibilities. I am interested in the play and associations made in connecting visually with oral tales that have been passed down through generations. In particular I have been exploring aspects of the Hybrid, and the Greek Myth of the Labyrinth, Daedalus and Icarus has influenced recent work.

During this year my project have tried to develop into several issues directly in relation with figuration, abstraction, expression (gesture of the painting) and combination of different artistic materials. This is the technique part of the work, however the main subject of study where all those concepts are focused is the female figure.

Myth and madness are two of the central themes running through Florence's work. Through abstract sequences Florence communicates the transformation of internal feeling into external environments. Taking inspiration from organic and domestic objects, the ideas reveal themselves through conflicting and contrasting forms and obsessive mark making.

Fan conservation is unusual in modern conservation practice as a bridge between paper conservation and organic conservation. This 18th century fan is made of ivory, with a paper leaf which has been decorated with a metallic foil. It has been conserved over a six month period.

My practice reflects of my fascination with mythology, both archaic and contemporary. My focus is the Icarus/Daedalus relationship, combined with an intense interest in falling, flying, and floating. Deriving imagery from sportsmen, I use the notion that their movements are overtly expressive, demonstrating emotions usually submerged off the playing field.

The conservation of a water-damaged 1625 translation of William Camden's Annales of Queen Elizabeth. Treatment addresses damage to the binding and textblock enabling it to function as part of UCL's Special Collections. Research explores the wavelength dependent fading of dosimeters and artists' pigments in association with Tate Conservation Science Department.

My practice investigates how we identify with space. My current project focuses on locating the personal within the non-space that is our roads and motorways. This work intends to reveal that even in most anonymous of zones; time still manifests itself within the landscape embodying it with a certain identity.
