Willy Mason

Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts' singer songwriter Willy Mason came to prominence in 2004 with a battered old voice and a shining talent for songwriting which belied his mere twenty years. His song Oxygen had a bold heart and a truth to the lyric which spoke to a generation, capturing perfectly the hope and thrill of youth whilst keeping his feet firmly on the ground. His debut album Where The Humans Eat, released on Conor Obserst's label, was a great low-fi introduction for this skilled troubadour. 2007 saw Mason return with a full acoustic band and a more polished approach on charming second LP When The Ocean Gets Rough spawning two hit singles with Save Myself and We Can Be Strong. He released the internet only 'stripped back' EP So Long Baby Shoes in 2010 and recently has featured on Lianne La Havas's magic No Room For Doubt. He is currently working on his third album.
