Tim Edey and Brendan Power

Winners of Best Duo at the 2012's BBC Folk Music Awards, Tim Edey and Brendan Power are currently taking the UK folk music scene by storm. Adventurous creative players, they have a spontaneous improvised approach to live shows which adds that vital element of surprise. Their debut album Wriggle and Writhe came out on last September.

Tim Edey is a virtuoso on both acoustic guitar and button accordion. His talents have led to touring/recording with Sharon Shannon, Lunasa and Capercaillie to name a few. Tim has so far released four solo albums.

UK based Kiwi harmonica player and composer Brendan Power is acknowledged by many as one of the most versatile and creative harp players around today. He has recorded with the likes of Kate Bush, Sting and Van Morrison. Brendan is also an expert player of Irish traditional music, winning the All Ireland title in 1994. He sings and composes original songs, and often throws in some nifty beatboxing too
