The Twilight Sad

This Scotish indie rock band have always worn their hearts on their sleeve over three albums and various Eps (mostly for Fat Cat) since forming in 2003. Andy MacFarlane (guitar/accordion/noise) and Mark Devine (drums) work wonders around the honest, dynamic songwriting and full blooded Celtic vocal of James Graham. Echoes of Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Joy Division and Idlewild jostle for position but this three piece create haunting, dark electronic drenched soundscapes all their own which should intrigue any fans of those bands.

2011 saw The Twilight Sad set off on tour across the UK. To begin with, they supported their mates Scottish legends Mogwai in February. Following this, they graced the stages of various UK festivals and featured on the FatCat Showcase tour, alongside We Were Promised Jetpacks and Mazes, in September. 2012 sees the release of third full album No One Can Ever Know a record that finds James in fine voice.
