Loney Dear

Swedish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emil Svanängen (aka Loney Dear) has been making music since his first self released record The Year of River Fontana in 2003. His breakthrough internationally came with Sub Pop putting out his second album Loney, Noir in 2007 which led to a US tour supporting Andrew Bird. He uses his extensive vocal range with a variety of instruments and loop pedals to build his effective, personal songs into extravagant, magical soundscapes as featured on last year's beautifully restrained Hall Music. Recent supporters include Gideon Coe and Lauren Laverne on BBC 6Music.
