Goodnight Lenin

Formed in the autumn of 2009, Goodnight Lenin's songs are reminiscent of the singer songwriters of the 1960s & 1970s, whilst still being bang up to date. Inspired by Dylan, Young and Simon & Garfunkel, their first single 2010's Crook in the Creek, released on Static Caravan, was an up tempo affair with plenty of harmonies and stomping. They've steadily grown live to supporting the likes of Beth Jeans Houghton, First Aid Kit and Darwin Deez. Following their sell out launch show at MAC in Birmingham which saw the 450 capacity venue sell out for the first time since it re-opened in May 2009 Janice Long commented "This band was at the front of the queue when talent was handed out. Gifted musicians, supreme songwriters."
