Francois and The Atlas Moutains

This delightful Bristol based, French singer-songwriter, musician and animator brings his collection of Gallic chamber-pop and chanson to the UK, performing songs from his latest album, this year's E Volo Love, the first to be released on Domino records.François' vocals croon above electronic beats, African rhythms, rich piano chords, shimmering electric guitars with a lightness and sincerity that blends into instant pop like the magic Radcliffe and Maconie championed song Les Plus Beaux. The album was recorded in the form of live performances in an old wooden dance hall of Saintonge with sensitive mix courtesy of Jean-Paul Romann (Tinariwen). After seven years of passionate gigs and road trips across Europe, Fránçois & The Atlas Mountains convey a magnetic presence on stage, where you get the thrilling sense that you (or indeed they themselves) never quite know what might happen next.

"Francois and The Atlas Moutains make for an arresting live experience: expect break-dancing, line-dancing, day-glo pop, walls of percussion" Herald Scotland
