Deer Tick

Rhode Island's favourite rabble rousing outlaws return with a thick slice of countrified, heartfelt rock 'n' roll. A favourite to Americana lovers for several years now (they played a great set at the Musician back in 2009) this band have got a songwriter in John J. MaCauley III who pens songs about unrestrained hard living and risk taking, delivering them with a battered voice making them all the more believable. Their raw live show has gained them notoriety which they've reflected on their latest record Divine Providence. Recorded back in their hometown they're not pulling any punches with tales of the drunk and the desperate like the barnstorming opener The Bump.
