Dark Dark Horse

Dark Dark Horse is the collaboration of producer Jamie Ward (ex Kyte) and singer James Stafford. A mix of Jamie's enchanting Eric Satie meets New Order electronics and James' emotive world weary voice. When they play live they are joined by Joe Norledge and Robin Southby. They hail from the leafy countryside of Leicestershire, UK.

After posting some initial demos online the power of the internet began to propel the bands music round the world. Typically this meant that the first label to take a shine to the band was based 5000 miles away from their hometown with Japanese label Rallye (Toro Y Moi, Au Revoir Simone, The Joy Formidable) offering to release an album.

After releasing their debut album 'Centuries' in Japan the band are now setting their sites a little closer to home, gaining day time national radio play, impressing BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson enough for him to ask them in for an interview, being asked to play the Drowned in Sound stage at Summer Sundae Festival and being commisioned to remix such acts as Tall Ships, Rose Elinor Dougal (Ex Pipettes) and Fossil Collective.
