VHS, DVD & Video

Video and film was an integral part of Crass' live performances and their live aesthetic. Fortunately, most of the material used has survived and both Gee Vaucher and Mick Duffield's work with the band is available on DVD through Exitstencil Press. However, very little footage of Crass actually playing live exists. Gigs were mostly performed in low light conditions that were not conducive to video recording and what snippets are available tend to of low quality. These films were shown at Crass gigs and contributed to the atmosphere of each performance. It was released on VHS in 1990 and has recently been re-released on DVD, with an accompanying booklet, by Exitstencil Press.

The films were released on VHS in 2001 and then on DVD by Exitstencil Press in 2015.
