Transformations Variations - Sean Clark (2018)

This collection of nine 60cm square prints by Sean Clark was created for the Creative Connections exhibition at Guangdong University of Technology in April 2018. Each image is the result of a computational process that involves four connected colour-swapping systems that interact over time. Each system begins in a disorganised state and then works over time with the other three in its network to achieve a shared dynamic equilibrium. The work is part of the artist's ongoing explorations in to the concepts of flow and connectedness and the representation of systems-like behaviours in digital artworks. In each print the pattern is the same, but the parts are different.
