November 2020 Workshop
Scratch Programming
For the first project of the workshop, the students were introduced to the Scratch visual programming language and given the task of designing a game. They could design one themselves or adapt another project if they so wished. It was important, however, that they give their game a Chinese feel and make reference to Guangchai porcelain. They finished the project by presenting their project as a poster and live demo.

Computer Drawing
For the second project, the students were shown historic and contemporary computer drawings by a variety of artists. They were then introduced to some of the techniques used to make the images and asked to reproduce them and design their own using Scratch. The resulting images were presented as a large poster.
