Esther Rolinson - Melt, Splinter & Thread / 2014

Esther Rolinson's Melt, Splinter and Thread are three installation artworks that were first exhibited at Phoenix in Leicester in November and December 2014. Each artwork consists of a complex construction that is illuminated with integrated, computer-controlled, DMX and LED lighting. Interact's involvement in the project was generally to provide technical and creative input and specifically to create the lighting control system.

Technology

The technology used includes a mixture of Arduino and desktop computers with DMX lighting fixtures and pixel-addressable (WS2811) LED strip lighting.

Interact Digital Arts Ltd is a digital arts practice focused around the creative work of Sean Clark. We create artworks, undertake artistic commissions and collaborations, curate exhibitions and live events, and run workshops and training sessions. We are based in Leicester where we have a studio and co-manage Interact Labs, a digital art making space at Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre.
