Methods for Misunderstanding the Nature of Things
Date: Sun, 04 Sep 2016, 18:30 - 20:00
Venue: Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester
Where do we draw the line between human and technological intervention?
Driven by the tweets from the audience, performed by artists from different art forms and sourcing creative technology through data to imagine an interactive experience, #Methodsfor is a performative confluence.
Sound, dance, visual art, installation, creative technology and spoken word all converge, taking the audience on a magical journey. Instructions flow through the drummer's ear as altered lighting states entrance us into the process whilst the vibrating sounds of the drawing machine traces the dancer's movements on the floor.
A space where the fragile boundaries of creativity and data are challenged and the chain of human and technology ruptured.
The performance will be followed by a talk with:
Prof. Ming Turner, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
Ashokkumar Mistry

Additional collaborators: G Sian, Khush Nubian, Sean Clark and Stella Couloutbanis
