CHI2016 Art Exhibition / Art.CHI II (San José)

ACM CHI 2016 is the leading conference for Human-Computer Interaction. Art and Interaction have formed an integral part of SIGCHI's Creativity and Cognition series since its inception in 1993 and has been formalised as a key topic at the CHI conference since the Digital Arts Community at CHI2012 and CHI2013, and the Arts and Interaction Spotlight at CHI2014. During the latter conference, a full program of arts-related conference sessions and workshops were available to the interested conference delegate. In CHI2015 a curated catalogue of interactive art was added and a two-day, Art.CHI workshop held. In 2016 a new element will be an associated public exhibition, "Inter/Action: digital art that responds" presented by ACM SIGCHI CHI2016 and Works/San Jose. As well as works selected from submissions to CHI, the exhibition will show representations of historically significant interactive art. The exhibition will be launched at the conference and extend until mid-June.
