I'm in Bulgaria for a week and have been zipping around on my electric moped. I'd just been on a 20km journey and on the way back the juice ran out about 6kms from home. The scooter is meant to be able to to 40km+ on one charge, but the hills must have used up more power that I expected. Anyway, just as I was resigned to having to push the scooter for the rest of the journey. what should turn up but a horse and cart I'd overtaken about 4km back. The driver then rigged up a tow rope and pulled me back to the village - much to the amusement of everyone involved. A modern fable surely worthy of Aesop himself.
