Sat 18 Oct - Sun 16 Nov Simon Miles - 'Empire State Human' Angel Row Gallery Foyer, Angel Row. 11am - 6pm. Free. 'Empire State Human' is part of a visual arts/performance novel in which Simon Paternoser goes through a period of madness and psychosis over 365 pages. During his altered state, which takes place in the desolation and urban wasteland of the City of Ov, Simon finds a wall in which the bricks have been constructed to form a pattern, with spaces between each individual block. For Simon, this becomes a symbolic site which he visits every day during his 'urban shaman' period. Recipient of the Dr. Martens' NOW ninety7 Development Award. Commissioned by Contemporary Archives for NOW ninety7. [ Index | Next Event ] |
