Each CRASS record had a poster sized sleeve that folded into its cover. Just like the music, the art on the sleeves were full of demanding images which stood up to society both as a challenge and a reflection.
The format of the art on The Feeding of the 5000 is presented here. Clearly, CRASS had a tremendous amount to say. The art is a necessary accompaniment to the music.
Gee did most of the art for the CRASS records. Keep in mind that all of the illustrating and collage were done long before computers or ellaborate art software existed (in the late 70's, early 80's). You may also be inclined to think that the cover of Feeding isa collage, but it is not. Gee pained every square inch of it with gauche.
