Code Club

Code Club

Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2015, 16:30 - 18:00

Venue: Interact Labs

Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteer-led after school coding clubs for children aged 9-11. Interact Labs and Phoenix are launching their very own Code Club with an emphasis on coding for would-be digital artists.

Learn how to write computer programs that produce amazing digital images, command drawing robots, program 3D printers and sense and control the world around you with Arduino and Raspberry Pi computers.

We are starting with three monthly sessions in October, November and December with a maximum class size of 10 children aged from 9 to 11. As we recruit more volunteer helpers we hope to be able to run the club weekly in the new year.

The initial sessions will run on the second Monday of the month from 4:30pm until 6pm. The initial programme will be run by Interact Lab's Sean Clark, a registered STEM Ambassador and Talk Talk Digital Heroes nominee, and all teaching staff are DBS checked.

If you think that your child would be interested in joining the Phoenix Code Club then please register below. We would like attendees to commit to attending all three initial sessions (12th October, 9th November and 14th December). Parents and carers are welcome to attend the start of the session, but space limitations mean that they are not able to be in attendance for the whole time.

If you are not successful in getting a place in these sessions don't worry, we hope to make more places available as soon as we find the volunteers to host them!
