Python 101: Python for Beginning Programmers

This tutorial assumes no prior programming experience.

You will need to provide your own laptop and power cables.

Suitable for ages 16+

We'll cover:

• Using Python's tools as a calculator

• Basic types: numbers and strings

• Making choices: booleans and flow control

* Functions

* Lists and Loops and Dictionaries

* Modifying a simple question game

We'll also practice writing Python scripts, take a quick tour of popular Python libraries, and demo some of the cool things that Python can do.

By the end of this tutorial, you'll understand the basics of the Python programming language and be able to modify existing Python programs. You will also be ready to start learning the language from other resources.
