Derby Mini Maker Faire will be the 2nd Maker Faire in Derby, with nearly 1000 people attending the event in 2012. Derby Maker Faire is held in the amazingly appropriate building Derby Silk Mill – the site of the World's First Factory!
Maker Faire is the World's Largest Show (and Tell) festival—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It's a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.
People from Leicester Hackspace are encouraged to arrange transport to the event via the Digital Makers discussion forum.
