SPIRITUALITY |
I've read lot's of different stuff around spirituality and in some ways it's helped me a lot. I've never really gone to church very much, never got involved at all as I grew up apart from Sunday School when I lived in Birmingham. My mum was a Protestant and my dad from a Catholic family but that never caused anyone any problems not that I remember.
Some people I know have got into the whole magic thing, it appeals to a lot of them because it's different. I think they are just messing around and having a laugh really. It's about how they want to look as much as anything. Most people don't take this stuff too seriously.
I don't really believe in God - I think it's something in all of us. It's an idea so that we can see the world better and understand how good it can be to be alive. Churches are supposed to be about that not all this heavy stuff. What have wars got to do with God?
I've read lots of books about eastern religions and stuff like that - there's some good things but I'm often confused by stuff around meditation and stuff like that. A lot of this stuff says you have to find a teacher to show you things but it's not that easy. I read a lot of books by this guy called Krishnamurti - it's just him thinking through things really - I don't know what happens when I read it but it all seems to make a lot of sense.
I'm a lot happier than I was a year or two ago, I seem to be getting on alright now. Being at college and having something to do where I'm moving on instead of some shit job is a lot better. When I started to think about spirituality, what I believe and all that, I didn't think this was what I'd talk about. I guess it's about life really.
