DEPRESSION
Depression:

Ever feel a bit low?

Ever tell your friends that you’re feeling ‘depressed’?
The chances are that you’ve cheered up in the next hour or so and can have a good laugh with your mates, BUT imagine feeling like that ALL THE TIME!

Imagine waking up in the morning and hating yourself so much that you’d be quite happy to jump off the nearest bridge with a stone tied around your neck. Maybe you do feel like that. Sometimes depression can get so bad that it becomes an obsession, and when it becomes an obsession, you realise that it becomes an illness too.
Depression can be cured
People who are depressed can sometimes have suicidal thoughts, act very up tight and miserable, not eat and always have a negative impression about themselves. You can get medication to combat depression but it’s very hard to get somebody who feels that low to go to the doctors. Maybe they don’t think that they’re worth it.

There is no easy ride out of depression, but it can be cured.

If you know anybody who is depressed or who you think is depressed, try and be the best friend you can to them, stick up for them and avoid saying anything that they could possibly take to offence- even if it’s a joke.
Don’t pressure them into anything but when you are the bestest of friends, recommend that they go to the doctor.

If you are depressed or think that you might be, please, please, please seek the help of someone you trust – even just by talking.
Nobody’s going to think badly of you, least of all your friends and family. Don't suffer on your own.
