WHY WE NEED DAIRY PRODUCTS |
|

|
- Milk is designed by nature to feed the young of mammals, (cows, goats, sheep, humans etc) and is considered to be the single most complete food known to exist naturally.
- Milk and other dairy products such as cheese and yoghurt are valuable sources of protein, vitamins and minerals and are the major source of calcium.
- Calcium is essential for healthy teeth and bones and is especially important during periods of rapid growth such as childhood and adolescence.
- Vegans (who do not eat any animal products), should ensure that their diet is rich in soya products as tofu and soya drinks, fortified with calcium.
