Greenhill Mural Project - Introduction |

A mural was created on the main street of Greenhill estate in Coalville, as the first part of this Arts Council of England New Audiences (Enabling Inclusion) funded project. The project is a partnership project between Mantle Community Arts and Charnwood Arts, working with East Midlands Arts, to work with young people across identified areas in both districts.
This element of the project was a partnership with Greenhill Youth Centre, Leicestershire County Council and North West Leicestershire District Council. Greenhill Youth Centre had secured additional funds from Leicestershire County Council through Catalyst Fund and they also provided in-kind support.
Project artists Julia Doncaster and Matt Chell, worked with young people and adults living on Greenhill estate, Coalville. The mural was created July 15th - 20th 2002.
